SB 1582 defines who is restricted—but does not appear to fix or update existing property records. So yes—the original filing would remain, and any issue would be handled through enforcement, not re-recording. Why isn't the initial document that was promulgated for this, not being redone to keep aliens from land ownership? Questions If an existing ownership structure becomes non-compliant: What is the remedy?Forced sale? Penalties? Time to correct? Is there: A grace period? A process to cure compliance issues? Does the bill: Address existing ownership at all Or only future transactions?
